Jean Stoenner

I grew up on a small farm in the Shenandoah Valley caring for dogs and horses.  As owner of Hitching Post Ranch for 30 years, I explored many facets of the horse industry ranging from summer camps, lessons, therapeutic riding, and raising/training thoroughbreds.  Field trials have always been my passion as they combine my love for dogs and horses alike!  A wonderful 25 year marriage to a veterinarian expanded my knowledge of the proper care and health management for our 4-legged companions.  At an age when most have retired, I have the unique opportunity to be part of Happy Hounds Lodge.  Everyday here at HHL is filled with so many unique doggie personalities. I just adore watching them explore the grounds, and especially love it when they find their perfect "hang-out" spot on the couch. Every dog who visits truly does become a part of our extended family!
